$25 Raised for Haven Ranch

Haven Ranch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal sanctuary located in Eagle Mountain, Utah. Formerly known as Friends in Need Animal Sanctuary, Haven Ranch was founded on a simple belief: every animal deserves safety, care, and dignity—and every person who loves animals deserves a place to belong.

Since 2020, Haven Ranch has been lovingly run by David Curneal, growing from a small rescue effort into a thriving sanctuary that is now home to more than 200 animals. Our residents include pigeons, ducks, chickens, pigs, alpacas, cows, horses, capybara, goats, sheep, geese, and yaks—each arriving here with their own story and finding refuge within our fences.

We are a small operation by design, which means every animal receives hands-on care and every person who helps truly makes a difference. Volunteers, donors, and visitors are not just supporters—they are part of our extended Haven Ranch family.

Our long-term goal is self-sustainability. We’re not there yet, but we’re working toward it every day. Each year, we grow roughly one acre of fresh produce and cut flowers. These are sold at local farmers markets to help fund the sanctuary, and what isn’t sold is used to feed our animals. It’s a closed-loop approach rooted in stewardship, creativity, and care for the land as well as its residents.

Haven Ranch exists because of the community that surrounds it. We rely heavily on volunteers and donations, and we’re deeply grateful for every hour given, every dollar donated, and every person who believes in what we’re building here.

Most of all, we love welcoming guests. Haven Ranch is a place meant to be experienced—to meet the animals, learn their stories, and see firsthand what compassion looks like in action. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning as a familiar face, you are always welcome here.
