PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. This agreement affects legal rights and includes an assumption of risk, a release of claims, and permission concerning photographs, audio, and video. The separate promotional text-message consent at the end is optional.

This Participant Liability Waiver, Media Release, and Communication Consents (the “Agreement”) applies to my attendance at and participation in Have We Met? Live, including its conference programming, expo, social events, dances, fitness or wellness activities, off-site outings, transportation arranged by the organizer, and other related activities (collectively, the “Event”). The Event is produced by Have We Met? Events and its owners, affiliates, contractors, and event partners (collectively, the “Organizer”).
Event location: Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, and any additional Event locations identified by the Organizer. Event dates: March 30 – April 1, 2027.
1 Eligibility and voluntary participation
I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this Agreement. I am participating voluntarily. I understand that the Event is designed to create opportunities for education, community, social interaction, and connection; the Organizer does not promise any particular personal, romantic, professional, or other outcome.
2 Activities and risks
I understand that Event activities may include walking or standing for extended periods, dancing, exercise or wellness sessions, games, food and beverage service, alcohol service by licensed venues or vendors, crowded spaces, transportation, off-site activities, and interaction with other attendees. Risks may include, without limitation: slips, trips, falls, collisions, physical exertion, dehydration, illness, allergic reactions, foodborne illness, and exposure to communicable disease; injury or loss arising from equipment, facilities, weather, travel, transportation, or the acts or omissions of other attendees, speakers, exhibitors, vendors, venues, or members of the public; theft, loss, or damage to personal property; and emotional discomfort, unwanted interactions, misunderstandings, or other risks that can arise in social and group settings.
I understand that this list is not complete and that known and unknown risks may exist. I agree to use reasonable care, follow Event and venue rules, act responsibly, and stop participating in any activity that feels unsafe or beyond my abilities. I am responsible for deciding whether I am physically and emotionally able to participate and for obtaining medical advice when appropriate.
3 Assumption of risk
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I KNOWINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS OF INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE, AND OTHER HARM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO MY ATTENDANCE AT OR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT, WHETHER KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE, INCLUDING RISKS CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF A RELEASED PARTY.
4 Release and waiver of liability
In consideration for being allowed to attend and participate in the Event, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, estate, personal representatives, and assigns, release and waive claims against the following “Released Parties”: the Organizer; Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino; Event venues; sponsors; exhibitors; speakers; presenters; activity providers; transportation providers; vendors; volunteers; contractors; and each of their respective owners, parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS RELEASE APPLIES TO CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE, AND OTHER HARM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE EVENT, INCLUDING CLAIMS BASED ON A RELEASED PARTY’S ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE. THIS RELEASE DOES NOT APPLY TO GROSS NEGLIGENCE, RECKLESSNESS, INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT, OR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE WAIVED.
5 Personal conduct and responsibility
I am responsible for my own conduct, decisions, belongings, transportation except where expressly arranged by the Organizer, and consumption of food, beverages, alcohol, medications, or other substances. If I consume alcohol, I will do so lawfully and responsibly and will not drive while impaired. I understand that the Organizer may deny entry or remove a participant, without creating an obligation to refund, when reasonably necessary to protect safety, enforce Event or venue rules, or address disruptive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or unlawful conduct.
I understand that the Organizer does not screen, investigate, verify, or guarantee the identity, background, intentions, health, compatibility, statements, or conduct of attendees or other third parties. I will use my own judgment in deciding whether and how to interact with anyone I meet through the Event, including after the Event.
6 Medical care and emergencies
If I become ill or injured and am unable to direct my own care, I authorize the Organizer and venue personnel to contact emergency services and provide or arrange reasonable first aid or emergency assistance. I understand that they are not required to provide medical care. I accept responsibility for costs charged by medical providers, transportation providers, or others for my care. This authorization does not require me to disclose private medical information beyond what is reasonably necessary for emergency assistance.
7 Media release
I understand that the Event will be photographed, filmed, livestreamed, and/or recorded. I grant the Organizer and its authorized sponsors, media partners, contractors, licensees, successors, and assigns permission to capture and use my name, image, likeness, voice, statements, and appearance recorded in connection with the Event (“Event Media”). This permission includes the right to edit, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, broadcast, stream, and otherwise use Event Media in any format or medium, worldwide, for Event documentation, news, publicity, advertising, marketing, social media, educational, archival, and promotional purposes, without additional notice, inspection, approval, or compensation to me.
I understand that the Organizer owns the Event Media it creates or commissions, subject to any rights held by third-party media organizations. I release the Released Parties from claims arising from authorized capture or use of Event Media, including claims for right of publicity, invasion of privacy, or misappropriation, except to the extent a claim cannot lawfully be released. The Organizer will not knowingly use my likeness in a defamatory manner or in a way that falsely states my endorsement of an unrelated product or service.
Media preference at the Event: If I have a specific safety, privacy, or accessibility concern about close-up or featured filming, I may contact the Organizer before the Event at hello@hymevents.com or notify the registration desk. I understand that the Organizer will make reasonable efforts to honor an approved accommodation, but cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental crowd, background, livestream, or news coverage.
8 Event communications
By registering, I authorize the Organizer to send communications reasonably related to my registration and participation, including confirmations, schedule or location changes, safety notices, required forms, customer-service responses, and other transactional updates, by email and, if I provide a mobile number and choose the registration-text option below, by text message. These communications are part of administering my registration and are not a subscription to recurring promotional texts.
9 Privacy and personal information
I understand that the Organizer may collect and use registration information to administer the Event, communicate with me, maintain safety and security, comply with law, and carry out the choices I make below. The Organizer may share information with service providers and Event partners only as reasonably needed for those purposes or as described in its posted privacy policy. 10 Governing law and severability
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any lawsuit arising from this Agreement or the Event must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Clark County, Nevada, unless applicable law requires otherwise. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. This Agreement is the complete agreement concerning the subjects it covers and may be changed only in a writing agreed to by the Organizer and me.
11 Electronic acknowledgment
By checking the required box and completing registration, I confirm that I have read this Agreement, understand it, have had the opportunity to ask questions, and agree voluntarily. I understand that my electronic acceptance has the same effect as a handwritten signature. A copy of this Agreement should be made available to me with my registration confirmation or through a durable link.
